The first time I booked Neil was because he was recommended to me by a colleague to help with boosting the confidence of our team to deliver a really important presentation.

The second time was because I’d been on Neil’s workshop and loved it, so I recommended him to a client to deliver a workshop at a company away day.

We had a sales team who were great at selling products using figures and price, but we wanted them to become a more creative, consultative sales team.

When asked to stand up and talk about / sell a creative concept, lots of them suddenly got stage fright, and weren’t delivering their sales pitches with confidence or conviction.

We wanted them to be able to relax and roll with the flow of a creative sales pitch… we wanted them to be comfortable rolling about in ambiguity, not running away from it.

Very quickly, Neil gave people the confidence to be OK with not having all the answers. And in fact to welcome not having the answers, and enjoy that the questions they might get from their clients could be challenging, or ones they simply can’t answer. But that’s not just OK, but something they should embrace as part of the creative sales process.

(part of which required the team to deliver a presentation to a panel of judges about why we were the best sales team).

Designing ‘Adaptive Communication’

We needed public sector leaders to think, act and react differently with suppliers in order to drive better value for the public. Neil helped us design and deliver an approach to “adaptive communication” as part of this.

I had been a delegate at one of Neil’s training workshops and when I was looking for someone to support an internal workshop ahead of a product launch I had no hesitation in reaching out to Neil.

I wanted to enhance team communication skills specifically around the art of effective storytelling to  drive impact consistently with every interaction.

First of all, Neil listened to the original brief, sought clarification where needed and proposed ideas and flow of a  workshop that would deliver the goals  in a fun learning environment. The sessions over two days were expertly executed with great knowledge, exemplary facilitation and coaching techniques.
